Mawe African Ventures Company Limited was founded in 2017 by Raphael Loisolo, a passionate guide and enthusiast of Tanzania’s rich wildlife and cultural heritage. The company’s name, “Mawe,” meaning rocks in Swahili, is inspired by the iconic Serengeti rock formations that have captivated Raphael since his early days as a student in the Wildlife and Tourism Industry.
What began as one guide's dream has grown into a boutique safari house trusted by travelers from around the world — yet it still carries the same hands-on, personal spirit that defined its first journey.
