Four-Days Safari Adventure: A Journey through Tarangire, Lake Manyara, and Ngorongoro Crater
Embark on an unforgettable four-day safari adventure that takes you through some of Tanzania’s most stunning national parks, offering a perfect blend of wildlife viewing and leisure.
Day 1: Arusha
This is the moment you’ve been waiting for: your Tanzanian safari starts here. You have so much to look forward to and we’ll get your trip underway as soon as we give you an introduction to our team and explain what lies ahead.
Spend some time in Arusha, both the gateway city for most safaris in northern Tanzania and a fascinating place to explore. Enjoy good restaurants, streets filled with energy and so many snapshots of vibrant Tanzanian city life. It’s everything you look for in an urban pit stop.

Day 3: Tarangire National Park
We think you’ll be impressed with Tarangire National Park. Most visitors love the distinct shapes of the baobab trees silhouetted against the sky that make this place feel like a fairy-tale African landscape. Or visitors remember the elephants that roam in family bands everywhere throughout the park. If you’re lucky, you’ll also encounter the big cats – lions especially, but also cheetahs and leopards – that are always a possibility here. And there’s a fair degree of certainty that you will tick wildebeest, giraffe, hippo, buffalo and zebra off your wildlife-viewing list.
Accommodation | Day 3
Tarangire Sopa Lodge | Inside Tarangire National Park
Well-placed for exploring the quiet, but wildlife-rich southern sections of Tarangire National Park, Tarangire Sopa Lodge has large rooms decorated with safari prints and warm color schemes. Elephants and baboons are frequent visitors to the hotel, and you might even be able to watch them from your room. With a swimming pool, bar, restaurant and shop, the lodge offers the complete package.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park
You won’t find many better national parks in Africa than the Serengeti, which has few rivals when it comes to both the numbers and variety of animals. Track down the annual migration of wildebeest and zebra. Enjoy the vast horizons that are perfect for spotting predators (especially lions, leopards, cheetahs and spotted hyenas) and their prey (buffaloes, impalas and kongoni), as well as elephants and giraffes. If you’re really lucky you’ll see a hunt, one of the most exhilarating sights anywhere in the wild. And at every turn, revel in its beauty, with flat-topped acacia trees silhouetted against the setting sun, and so many other classic African safari images.
Ngorongoro Highlands
Temperatures are lovely and cool in Ngorongoro Highlands, which is perfect for exploring the forests, and seeing the wildlife (elephant, buffalo and maybe even leopard) and views.
Accommodation | Day 5: Into Wild Africa
Tented camp | Inside Serengeti National Park
Well-positioned in the central Serengeti, Into Wild Africa is a wonderful place to stay. The camp and its large safari tents and dining tent are right alongside the Nyabogati River, and seeing wildlife in the area is never a problem. In spite of the central location, you’ll feel like you have this special corner of Africa all to yourself.

Day 8: Ndutu
Off the main route between Ngorongoro and the Serengeti, and in the far south of the latter, Ndutu is a smaller-scale, more intimate version of one of Tanzania’s best wildlife regions. It’s a fabulous destination year-round, and this is where millions of wildebeest give birth to their calves when the great migration passes through, often with plenty of predators nearby. It also has all of the essential elements of the Serengeti’s appeal, including big horizons and incredible wildlife, but without the crowds you’d share it with elsewhere.
Accommodation | Day 8: Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge
There’s so much for you to love about staying at Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge. The location overlooking Ngorongoro Crater is one of the best anywhere along the crater rim. The combination of old-school safari hospitality with bright, modern rooms is a real pleasure; from afar, the stone-built lodge seems to blend into the forest. The views from the
restaurant are similarly superb. Bathroom

Day 9: Ngorongoro Crater
Ngorongoro is a special place and the first time that you descend onto the crater floor is like no other safari experience in Africa. This is a world unto itself, one where you’ll encounter the crater’s 600-strong population of hyenas, as well as critically endangered black rhinos. You’ll also find elephants with larger-than-average tusks, and more than 50 lions living in the crater. But it’s the sheer beauty of Ngorongoro that will most likely live longest in your memory. From early morning, mist rises from the crater, revealing steep, forested walls, secret waterways where hippos wallow, and a world of abundant wildlife hidden away from the rest of the world.
